Arts Sessions The Arts Sessions have started again for young people aged 7 years plus. Last term the young people created a fantastic artist impression of a peacock from recycled materials. We are looking for a permanent home where this piece of art work can be displayed and enjoyed by everyone. Some of their art work was also displayed at the Fun Day held back in July. This term we will be focusing each session on an AQA certificate, so the young people will gain an array of certificates as proof of their artistic talents as well as their art work.
Music Sessions The Music Sessions have started back up after the summer holidays. The young people have named their music group The Bad Habits and last term The Bad Habits performed at the Fun Day to a friendly audience and received some great feedback. We have had a great few terms with professional musician Dan Whitehouse and have learned a lot. This term we are shaking things up a bit and have the opportunity to work with different musicians and learn a variety of even more skills!
Green Finger Sessions The Green Fingers Sessions are continuing at our ever evolving site. They run fortnightly come rain or shine for young people aged 3 years and up. The young people have the opportunity to participate in lots of activities including gardening, fishing, woodwork, bushcraft, photography, cooking, arts and crafts, looking after the chicken and pigs and meeting our friendly peacock. For the older young people this could be an opportunity to get involved as a volunteer and gain experience of working with young people which would increase their confidence, help them make positive life choices and look great on their CV.
If you would like to register a young person for either the Green Fingers, arts or music sessions please contact Jo Frost on 01905 845818.
