Art Sessions Re Start with A Splat!
This term we are looking at famous artists and trying to re-create their work using their techniques but in our own indiviual way. We will look at sculptures, still life, recycled art and self portraits. We will also be making some Christmas decorations to sell at our annual Green Fingers Christmas sale.
Music Sessions Re Start with A Spooky Song
This term the Bad Habits say hello to new members of the group and start the sessions off writing a song about Halloween. We will also be looking at different ways to make music including singing and music technology using a wide range of unusual instruments.
Green Fingers Sessions Start with a Muddy Puddle (or two!)
Green Fingers sessions on a fortnightly basis. It has been another busy summer of growing and harvesting crops, the young people have enjoyed seeing the froglets and the extensive wild life that take residence on our site. The site also plays host to young people who are not in full time education and offer an alternative education programme to support young people in re-engaging, building confidence and gaining skills in preparation for returning back to school full-time.
Work Experience
The Green Fingers Project can offer work experience to Looked After, Adopted and Kinship young people. This can be work experience in administration, working with young people, gardening/horticultural work or volunteering at the Arts and Music sessions. It’s ideal for young people who maybe be struggling to find a work placement and or may require additional support as we understand their specific and individual needs.
The work experience will boost their confidence, improve their knowledge and life skills to help make positive life choices and will look great on their CV.
For more information and to arrange a placement please contact Jo Frost on 01905 752818.
