Who can access the project?
The project is free to Worcestershire Looked After Children and Worcestershire County Council Foster Carers. It is also open to adopted young people and young people on Special Guardianship Order (SGO) that are receiving support from children’s services. Other Local Authorities can access the project however there may be a charge for activities.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a charge for the Educational Mentoring sessions which is currently £25 an hour.
How do you make a referral?
Referrals can be made by carers, social workers or any other professionals working with Looked After Children and carers. To make a referral you need to contact Green Fingers Team.
How do I find out more about upcoming events?
Keep checking the website for information on upcoming events or alternatively you could contact the Green Fingers Team directly. You could also be added to our mailing list and receive regular updates on future activities and events.
Can all carers access the training?
Training is free to all Worcestershire County Council Carers. Other carers can access the training but there may be a charge for this.
Can young people just turn up to the sessions?
Unfortunately not. Young people have to be referred to the project because forms etc. need to be filled out by social workers before their attendance. We also have limits to the number of young people we can accept onto an activity or event.
If you have any further questions then please contact the Green Fingers Team.
