The 3 metre steel memory tree kindly donated by Amada, a Kidderminster based tool manufacturer company, has now been planted at our rural site. The tree has become a focal point for the Tin Forest area, based on ‘The Tin Forest’ story by Helen Ward of a man who builds a beautiful tin forest from rubbish. The young people have been making items from scrap metal to create an eye catching tin forest area.
Each young person involved with the project is able to decorate their own leaf and hang it on the tree as a memory of their involvement in the project. The tree will serve as a lasting legacy of the project.
