Green Fingers have been acquiring and practicing new skills in mindfulness and yoga with a qualified yoga instructor. In the hoping to start using these new skills during the Educational Mentoring sessions and other Green Fingers activities. This will help to regulate emotions and hopefully help the young people to concentrate more. Staff attended a training session and then put this into practise on our yoga summer activity day. This proved to be successful when both groups of young people were able to maintain concentration for the full 2 hours per session. One young person in particular can struggle to maintain focus for short periods of time and he engaged thoroughly throughout the 2 hours!
