The birds have been very busy on the Green Fingers Site. A number of the nesting boxes are being used and we were very excited to find that a robin had started making a nest in our shed a few weeks ago. The robin laid 7 eggs in the nest and 8/9 days ago they hatched! The first photo shows a few of the baby robins in the nest.
The next two photos show our recent installation of a bird box equipped with a camera and microphone. We noticed a blue tit going in and out a week ago and we can see today on the screen that there are 5/6 eggs in the nest. It is very exciting for the children and young people to see the blue tit in the nest, and the male tit coming in and out feeding the female.
