This year was another fantastic few weeks for our Summer Activities Programme. The young people who accessed the activities thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety we had on offer. We had a couple of new activities, a landscape painting one at our Green Fingers site where the young people learnt new skills in painting and a morning at Imagination Street where the you people were able to burn off some energy in the soft play and on the trampolines. We ended the activities with the traditional annual Bowling Celebration where every young person gained a certificate to acknowledge their accomplishments during the summer. Carers were also able to join in and socialise with other carers and it’s always lovely to see everyone who access the Green Fingers Project in some way all together under one roof. Some of the carers left comments to sum up the summer activities their young people attended;
“I feel the team work so hard to make it so nice for the kids and I would like to thank you all very much for all your hard work. Well done.” Carer
“The staff were amazing, made the children feel welcome; they all had an amazing time, thank you.” Carer
“The girls always look forward to the summer activities with Green Fingers, thank you.” Carer
Green Fingers look forward to next year already and it won’t be long until we start planning for it again! Next up though is an archaeological dig project we are in the process of finalising the details, and then of course the annual Christmas Panto! “Oh no it isn’t!” Shhh, it’s too early for that!
