We are excited to be delivering an apprenticeship project with the Heart of Worcestershire College which will consist of delivering information events to support young people to access local apprenticeship opportunities, and provide extra support, such as a clothing allowance, subsidised travel and mentor support to these young apprentices. The mentors will provide additional support to young apprentices to avoid the apprenticeship breaking down. The College will deliver apprenticeship-ready courses and other workshops to support young people who are not yet ready for apprenticeships. Through the College we will work with various local businesses to secure work experience or prioritised Looked After, Adopted and Kinship-only apprenticeships.
As part of the project we are also really excited to host a business and administration and gardening/horticulture apprenticeship for Looked After, Adopted and Kinship young people and care leavers within the project. If you know any young people who might be interested in an apprenticeship, then please get in touch with the Community & Leisure Development Worker on 01905 843312 to find out more information.
