The Green Fingers Project welcomes four new members to our team – two giant African land snails and two stick insects! The young people will learn new skills including how to take care of exotic pets, how to clean them out, what the correct environment is for them, what food they eat, how and when to feed them, as well as measuring them and watching them grow! The young people will benefit from looking after these pets, as well as improving their knowledge it will also help to increase patience and boost their confidence and self-esteem.
We will be holding a naming ceremony at one of our Green Fingers Sessions so get your thinking caps on and send your ideas titled ‘Pet Names’ to greenfingers@worcestershire.gov.uk and we will be drawing them out of a hat at the end of May.
