Here at the Green Fingers Project music, arts and educational mentoring sessions the young people have been busy completing their Discover Introductory Arts Awards and AQA certificates. Those who are old enough have also completed a Bronze Arts Award Level 1 qualification.
The Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification that supports anyone aged up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form – from visual art to digital art, pottery to poetry.
AQA’s offers everyone the opportunity to have their achievements formally recognised – from pre-entry to Level 3 no matter what this is, how old they are, how long it takes or how small the learning step might be. Some of the AQA’s that have been awarded have been for woodwork, gardening and cooking.
Well done to all our young people for all their continued hard work.
