A few months back the Green Fingers Project art group created some unique canvases for County Hall. They are now up on the office walls for all to see. We hope they brighten up people’s day! Here is what we say about the art pieces;
“These colourful canvases were created by the Green Fingers Project arts session. It took a number of weeks. They have been created out of mixed media including, paint, glue, sequins, buttons and glitter and clay gems. The art work is inspired by paintings of a landscape theme that the young people researched, nature and the outdoors which is all things the Green Fingers Project stands for. We hope the art work brightens up your day and helps you relax as you day dream into the swirls of clouds and the patchwork hills.”
We are awaiting our next commission! We are currently working on a giant elephant hawke moth and a re-creation of ‘The Great Wave’ by Japanese print maker Hokusai. We also have a large 3D, upcycled, recycled peacock; if anyone knows of anywhere who might like these items displayed please do get in touch.
